Mirrors Analysis.

In the first opening shot, we get an introduction to the main character that is a typical convention of any movie trailer, but as the trailer progress's we get the next shot which is of an isolated house, which is a typical convention of a horror film. Also we can tell by looking at the house and the surrounding area that these are all codes and conventions of horror films, by the house been isolated, run down, and a no access area. As the trailer moves on we get to see and inside to what the movie is going to be about, with the straight black cuts, eary sounds and screams. Also the editing cuts to the beat of eary sound effects and music, which is a typical code of horror films. Also we get really loud sounds during cuts, to show that these things are important parts of the trailer, to give us an inside to what the movie is about. Talking over the shots, of what the characters are trying to find out, but as the audience we can see what the answers are. Towards the end of the trailer we get faced cut pace shots to show the characters reactions, and emotions, we also hear screams over the shots, talking and cry which makes us as the audience want to go see the movie, and find out what happens to the characters and if there is any solution to the film. With the characters talking over the shots we can get the story line of whats trying to be found out, and whats happening, as this is happening we are seeing the shots and screen which are making us as the audience want to go see the movie. This trailer shows the codes and conventions of a horror trailer really well, with the isolated house been in a no access area, the fact that there is loud eary music over the shots, we hear screams, and scared voices, also by having close ups of the characters faces to show their reactions and emotions.
