Sorority Row Analysis.

At first in this trailer we see, straight cut shots of the main location setting. then we see straight cut close up shots of the main characters, these are there so the aundience see actors they recognise from other films and think they were really good and want too watch more. We then get mid shots of each of the character so we can see a little bit about them. we then see the location and have stragiht cuts as we are watchin to find out what the stroy is about. we then have an establishing shot of the loaction, which is a deserted mine shaft, its dark and cold which is a typical convention of a horror movie. Through out the trailer we have fast cut pace and cut's to the beat of the music, this is there to show different parts of the film and keep the audience interested and make us want to go see the film. Also having the really fast cut pace editing in a horror at the end of the trailer puts the audience on the each of the seat, and creates adreniline so they want too watch the actual film. In this trailer we have typical conventions of horror films, by having isolated dark cold settings. and by having close ups of the actors face's been shocked and scared. plus the music and the editing corrospond with eacth other to make the trailer more intrseting and fit the genre correctlly, by having the editing cutting to the beat of the music, also when the music gets quiter and we hear a scream the editing is so quick and fast we see a close up of one of the actors faces. there is also the child like voices singing over the trailer which creates a creepy atmopsphere for the audience.
